I went to KFA Dental two weeks ago for a cleaning & a check up. I don’t like going to the dentist. And admittedly, I haven’t gone in years. Despite my negative feelings, the second I walked into the office, an immediate question popped itself in my brain, "Is this the Disney World of dentistry?" (And I’ve been to Disney 7 times as a kid so I know what I’m talking about and have every right to question it.)The place is immaculate from top to bottom. The waiting area is spacious, comfortable and decorative. The staff were courteous, respectful & extremely helpful. They also had bright smiles themselves, which is a good sign in my opinion. After a very short wait I met with Debbie, who informed me clearly of who she was (the hygienist), what she cares about (my well being) and how she plans to proceed. As she worked, she chatted me up, and I found our conversation to be very calming, since my nerves, in general, are rather high-strung. She was sensitive to my sensitivities as she cleaned my mouth out with various instruments I can’t name, and I appreciated it.After Debbie took X-Rays, using what looked like even more impressive, dental technologies from the future, Dr. Aldieri popped in, and we discussed my teeth. He checked for cavities; thankfully I didn’t have any, and he explained what he was analyzing via Debbie’s X-Rays. I really appreciate when not only dentists, but PEOPLE explain WHY they do, and HOW they do, instead of just...DO. Debbie did this & so did Dr. Aldieri. This makes me appreciate the work, and in this instance, my own mouth even more!Dr. Aldieri is funny, charming, articulate, experienced and extremely skilled; not only in his own method, but whom he hires to be on his team. I also have the pleasure of knowing Dr. Ferrari from a previous visit, and she is just as caring and proficient as he. She glows as she works, and this is a sign of true passion for one’s profession. I’ve met Dr.Kahn in the past, and he’s a cool dude too, smart & professional. I left the office within a flurry of humble thank you’s and pleasantries among the staff, along with a whitening kit, new tooth brush & other goodies. In the parking lot, the question returned to my head, "Is KFA Dental the Disney World of Dentistry?" The answer: NO. KFA Dental is beyond Disney. KFA is too skilled & care too much about their customers to be labeled "Disneyesque." KFA operates in a world of it’s own. And that’s the world I wanna be in. It has it’s own signature. And that’s the sign of good business with a great product.I never left Disney with a bigger smile than the one I had on my face in KFA’s parking lot. (Well, maybe the little kid in me did, but as an adult...it’s been awhile since I’ve smiled quite like that.) And I didn’t see any automated pirates either...they DO have an xbox in the waiting room though...Anyway, thanks for the smile guys! It means everything.
